Hello everyone- can’t seem to stop myself from sharing former travels .Not all of them are relaxing weeks away on a plane with the purpose of enjoying sun and different food .
Years ago I decided a quick day trip to Belgium on a coach would be fun. Me and M joined a packed coach . For most it was a shopping trip for Christmas booze. Nowadays we can’t bring much back so I am not sure if these trips exist . I just wanted a day out with a difference . We set off at the crack of dawn. Our planned euro tunnel experience was cancelled leaving us hanging around waiting to cross over on a ferry from Dover to Calais . Timings were all late , resulting in less time in Belgium . The shopping stops were quick and were just warehouses but offered marvellous value for shoppers . There was nothing aesthetically pleasing about these places though .

Finally getting off the coach for a long break we walked across a park and noticed a few houses . I loved the crunchy autumn leaves and the dry day. It wasn’t cold either .We were greeted by sweetly dressed windows and swans around the canal . There was even horses and carriages. We had some daylight to walk around and see the town which was quite busy . I loved the different buildings . Later we admired shop windows which I found charming and enticing . Once it was dark we tried the beer and it was jolly nice . It was relaxing but marred by watching the time .

The town enjoyed a good turn out of visitors but this was the lull before the Christmas Market invasion . I don’t like crowds and am not a Christmas enthusiast . This late autumn day suited me just right but an early start and hanging around had made the day tiring . All we did later was people watch. It was a pleasant trip and I was glad to see Bruge as I had only ever passed through Belgium . We did go home with some chocolate so the day had been purposeful in a limited way .

I took lots of photos but have nothing much to say about a this trip except it made a change and I loved seeing the architecture . That’s what I love the most about going somewhere different .
Thank you for reading
Take good care
I love the way you make the most out of everything and enjoy your life so much. We went to Bruges for my 40th and I enjoyed it but it was freezing and they had a JCB in the main square and machinery which was noisy. I loved the boat trip though and the architecture 💖
To me there is no other way than to enjoy myself , especially if I go on an adventure
